Bilsdale Riding Centre
The Bilsdale Riding Centre offers wonderful hacks of 1 hour to a full day around the moors, woodland and quiet lanes in the western side of the North York Moors National Park. They also run two-day trail-riding holidays for more experienced riders, with trails following bridleways, quiet lanes and tracks through the hills and valleys and an overnight stay at a farm B&B, with the horses grazing nearby.
The horses are mostly home-bred and schooled and range from steady to forward-going, catering for riders of all standards.
The qualified and enthusiastic staff also offer week-long residential holidays focussing on stable management and riding - lots of fun for pony-mad children or beginners!
Located just a few miles north of the lively market town of Helmsley with its excellent range of independent shops, Bilsdale Riding Centre is within easy reach of other attractions such as Rievaulx Abbey, Helmsley Castle and Duncombe House, with plenty of accommodation available locally or on-site.
