Do you know about the BHS Project 2026 website? There's plenty of help available to use it.
The BHS Project 2026 website is designed to help research routes which may disappear if we don’t get them recorded by the end of 2026. It’s organized on a county-by-county basis, with the aim of enabling volunteers to gather evidence about routes of interest and share it with others. It’s open to people from any organisation (e.g. the Ramblers and Open Spaces Society as well as BHS) and should help to speed up applications and reduce overlaps. The website can be found here and the BHS guide to using it is here. There’s also a helpful guide to getting started in researching unrecorded routes here.
